Unfortunately it does hurt. But for me as a women, it's worth it. You have about 6 weeks of hairless wonder!! :)

I don't know PERSONALLY but my mom had her back waxed and she said it was pretty painful. She hasn't done it since. Of course, its over pretty quickly. Luckily I don't have back hair like hers :)
