Does it look bad if I take my fourth SAT?

Is it better to take as many SAT 2s as possible or will colleges only look at 2 or 3?

  • I took AP world history last year and forgot to take the SAT 2. Is it worth re-studying and taking the SAT 2 for it later?

  • Answer:

Colleges will only look at the LAST SAT that you took so, if you take more than one, do well on the first, and do absolutely horrendous on the last, you could wind up going to community college instead of a UNC or UCLA or Kansas or Kentucky or even a smaller school. "Bet the farm" on one test UNLESS you do poorly on it. Then and ONLY THEN take it a second time - not a third or fourth.

All the colleges I know of take the highest scores you get in each area, so it can't hurt take more. Just don't go overboard with it.

Well i think u can only take 3.. But it's best to take alot. colleges like to look at all the scores but they'll either take the best or find teh average.

I would not recommend taking TOO many sat 2's, as colleges usually only require 2-3. Only take subjects in which you feel confident in and have had prior classes/knowledge of.
