Connections Academy homeschool online for child who couldn't pass public school Kindergarten?

Why is socialization a concern? Surely you can leave the house. There are homeschool co-ops, community centers, classes at museums/zoos/aquariums/historic landmarks/botanic gardens/etc., dance, martial arts, theater arts, scouting programs, 4H, public libraries, playgrounds, churches, volunteer work, Chuck E. Cheese, etc... not to mention just playing with kids on your block and making local friends. School is only one place to go to socialize. There are many others (and, in my opinion, many preferred places where kids are held to higher standards and expectations, and where there are better models of behavior from which kids can learn). I prefer homeschooling without online public programs, they're far too tedious for us (we prefer a more engaging, experiential, hands-on approach to education). However, if your only concern about taking your child out of public school is socialization, it doesn't need to be. Just leave the house and do things.

OK, first of all you seem to be confusing virtual/cyber charter schools with homeschool. A CA charter schools is a public school program. It is not homeschooling. Second of all, what about socialization? I Do you think children can only socialize in a government building with those born within the same 12 month period?
