How do I get out of high school and get home schooled?

I'm in my senior year and pregnant, so i want to spend the first semester of my senior year at home , but being home schooled. What do I have to do to be home schooled? Help ...show more

You just file an affidavit online! Simple as that. It says "private school" and that is fine, it is what a home school in CA is. No testing, no required subjects! It is great to home school in CA. We did it for years! But, did you know you could take the CHSPE and be done now! It is the proficiency exam, and you can take it after 10th grade or age 16, and you get a diploma equivalent. Then you are done with high school! It is the legal equivalent in CA, for the military and for many federal jobs. Know though that if you want to go to college you will need to go to community college first, as you won't have the required courses for the 4 years. I mean, you won't have 4 years of math or English, etc. Schools in CA are supposed to notify students of the CHSPE, but they don't. They lose students!

Just enroll in a public school at home program. You can google them. You can try K12 or Connections Academy. These programs fill up fast though, so start applying now!
