  I don't think so. I had a friend who ran an employment agency. He said that none of the study at home diploma's were worth the paper they are printed on. A high school must be accredited by the state even if it is a private school. Even home schooler's take state assessments. Most states have free or low cost GED programs. Many are offered online. Try one of these instead. You'll end up with a degree that is recognized and save lots of money. In my state the State Board of Education approves accreditation for private schools, K through 12 if they wish to be accredited. The bottom line is Google Penn Foster scam or Penn Foster complaints or call a state college and see if they will consider your application with a diploma from Penn Foster, then see if you still want to send them close to $1000. Community college looks better and better. And yes you can study online for your GED. The other poster seems to be affiliated with Penn Foster.
