  • I am looking for the best places to stay in Barcelona. I have been advised that the Gothic Quarter and La Rambla areas are the best so any ideas of specific hotels?

    I stayed at the B Hotel a fwe blocks away from La Rambla. It is under $100 per night, very modern, and clean. It's located right on the Plaza de Espanya. Great location next to the olympic stadium and other sights. The walk to La Rambla is just a few minutes. I'm not into hotels that might be considered luxury or somethings because they've got expensive or antique furniture. To me, that just tells me how many people have slept in there and stayed in the rooms. I like clean, newer hotels with a modern feel. Check out their website, bhotel.com, and they also have some other hotels in different districts of Barcelona is you want to check them out. But, for my money, you can't beat the price and feel of it.

I think the Gothic Quarter is the best option, where La Rambla is, isn't so good, at least I don't like.
