SOLVE THIS. access denied on my USB flash drive, I am using Avast AntiVirus.?

I need help. I have a virus on my 3.7GB USB flash desk. My Avast anti virus stopped it. But the virus is a Restorer Virus. It keeps coming back. I think my Avast Home Edition ...show more

This worked for me: Inside My Computer, go to Tools>Folder Options... On the View tab, make sure you select the option to show hidden files and folders. Also deselect the checkbox that has the "hide protected operating system files." Now you're viewing every file. Back in My Computer, right-click your flash drive and choose "explore." You should be able to see the contents of your drive. Look for an autorun.inf file, AND or a restore folder. They will probably appear light in color (hidden). Delete both the restore folder and the autorun.inf file if they exist. This is what did the trick for me. I had a restore point made on my flash drive that contained a virus from someone else's PC. If you cannot view your files after right-clicking and choosing the explore option, place the drive in another PC without an antivirus and do the same thing.

there is no other way but to format the flash drive somebody gave an idea to run Linux Live CD which does not use Windows operating system and access the flash drive www.ubuntu.com

The best thing to do is to back up all the files you have in the flash drive. You cannot delete the virus in the flash drive because it will just comes back. Even you reformat the FLAsh Drive.. still the virus will be there. Just buy a new one.
