Hi there How do I get the IP adress of a email How can I establish the country of the email?

    Look at the documentation (Help) for your e-mail system. There will be a way to get at the headers associated with the e-mail which will back track you to where the e-mail came from (ISP) in what language (e.g. Bulgarian), in what nation (e.g. Nigeria). It will take some digging and asking questions what this or that means, then you can try to contact the ISP for the person whoever sent you the e-mail. Trying to figure this stuff out can be a full time job, because there is so much nonsense out there.

An email address consists of two parts: a user identification, and an internet mnemonic address. For instance. yahoo email uses @yahoo.com. Using a command window (in windows, click Start>Run>cmd (type cmd in the Run line), type "ping " followed by the email site name. If successful, you will be given an IP address. Go to browse that specific IP address, and you should receive some additional information about the site. Alternatively, you could attempt to browse the site directly. However, make sure that you've maximized your internet security settings before you go browsing into unknown waters. By the way, if you are looking at an email from a total stranger, why are you even bothering to pursue it? I think it was P.T. Barnum who said "There's a sucker born every minute".
