I don't remember exactly .. For example, for sugar compounds like glucose/sucrose, etc. the equations are very "musical" to remember and write.. like H-OH OH-OH-H, etc ... they can be remembered with just a little practice . Then see after the reaction, which OH or H gets replaced... Organic reactions can be remembered mainly on the basis of their musicality/symmetric structures.. even for alcohols and esters this applies... For williamson's and other such reactions, remember the first letter "W" and try to connect to the equation in some way... like "W=double-u", so there are two OH groups replaced (double) and so on :) Try such tricks, plenty can be devised, we did in our college days, I have lost touch now. Ask me if you want to remember any particular equation. I can teach some method :) Hope it helps :)
