How can I use the Slingbox away from my home?

Has anyone actually found a use for Facebook Home?

• The release of Facebook Home has become a bit of a flop with about half of all downloaders giving it a 1 star in the Google Play store. My question is, has anyone actually who has downloaded it actually kept it and found it useful? THere are people who have given it 4 or 5 stars, but most of them have said things like "it's a great looking app, I personally wouldn't use it but I'm sure someone obsessed with facebook would love it." For me, I just don't see how even if you did think it was a great app, you would still want to use it becuase it removes so much functionality from the phone. Facebook Home is also only available for the expensive flagship phones so why would someone buy a top of the line device, only to have almost all of the features hidden away just so you can see a random pic of one of your friends when you turn the phone on? It doesn't have widgets, it doesn't allow you to lock your phone, it doesn't tell you about missed calls, no quick launch icons from the lock screen etc. Even if you thought Facebook home was fantastic,  I just don't see how it is practical. So are there users here that have tried Facebook Home and thought it was great, please give an insight into why they love it over their generic Android setup?

  It's been a great app for keeping me off my phone. Trying to access even the most basic functions of my phone has been such a pain that I just say "screw it" and put it down. -------- In all fairness though, the chatheads were neat. However that was all before I uninstalled home after the first day.
