How do stars find out about auditions? How can I find out about them also?

Start by performing in the Community Theater, in the city where you live. Call the Community Theater and ask if you can volunteer, with them. Tell your parents you are calling to ask about volunteering. If you have actor friends, ask them if they know of any upcoming auditions. Look online for Backstage.com

Subscribe to an industry trade paper. A trade paper is a paper that is geared specifically for a certain trade or industry. "Variety" is a trade paper for the entertainment industry. It has been around for decades. It gives information about open casting calls, auditions, etc. There are other papers, too. But, I am not familiar with the names. Go online and google entertainment trade newspapers. That should get you started. Of course, you could go directly to a website for "Variety "and subscribe to it. It is the newspaper for the serious entertainment artist.

They have agents that do all that work for them. You can get an agent, but it can be pricy. But if your sure you can act and you can afford it then I would get one.

You can search auditions for a teenager if your a teenager or you can search it for your age group! it will tell you how to audition and what you can audition for.

Stars have agents. The company contacts the agents who then tell the star about the job. The non-celebrities also have agents. Sometimes companies contact talent agencies, which you agent works for, looking for some talent. The talent agency then looks over your portfolio and sees if you are a good match. If not, they'll send someone else to the job. Basically it's about having an agent.

they have agents who get calls from the producers. then the agents call the stars and ask if they want to audition for the part. or they jsut sign them up if the star hasnt done anything for a while and cant pay the agent.
