Where can I find a good traffic?

Where can I find statistics on how much referral traffic is on average driven via Instagram bio URLs?

  • I'm setting up a rerouter splash-page to place in our Instagram bio that will allow us to track site visits that come from Instagram in Google Analytics and Omniture. But it'd be good to find past data on this as I bolster my case with corporate executives that Instagram will drive site traffic. It's just not an easily measurable/instantaneous driver. P.S.--I'm in the publishing industry, where page views still are the dominant metric for ad sales rates, so that's why it's hard to justify based upon its marketing value alone.

    It doesn't show up as Instagram, it shows up as direct. You should try using a pretty link.

We don't get a lot of traffic from our instagram profile link. Miniscule compared to T or FB, yet we have the biggest following there. You can set up a tracking like this though http://yoursite.com/?utm_source=social&utm_medium=profile&utm_campaign=instagram That'll show up very clearly in OMN and GA. Just wrap it with your favorite shortner and you'll be good.
