Light skateboard with good pop?

Im about to get a skateboard and i need to know what deck is light and has alot of pop?

  • Answer:

zero decks last very long. and theyre light. just because decks are thick , wont make them last long. they have perfect concave. ive had a zero for like 4 months and the nose and the tail of the deck hasnt chipped yet. but its starting too and i luse it a lot

the first answer was going good until he stated brands and said no blanks. Blank decks work just like any pro name deck, same shape, same thing. If you want a light deck there are brands that make them, like the almost uberlight, or element featherlight, or helium by element, or the powerbeam by black label or the armor light by darkstar, these are all tech decks with different core designs to make them lighter and durable. The uberlight is your best best but one of the most expencive, rodney mullen invented it so it's a damn nice deck, you know who he is, he's the guy who also inventend almost all the tricks you do. Armada makes those performance tips for your deck it's suppose to give you better pop, maybe check them out too. But for a basic skateboard they are all the same not a single one has better pop or anything i've had 10 different decks over my years of skateboarding and they've all pretty much been the same. As for blanks I have a mini logo blank deck made by powell, its a superlight model and I like it better than my almost and plan b deck. For $25 a deck you can't beat that, ccs also makes a slick blank that works awesome and is also light. Your best bet is to get one of the tech decks, stay away from the element featherlight my buddy got one and its only got a strip of carbon fiber down the center which makes it very mushy when riding and grinding after a while. Mostly "pop" is going to be up to you though not your deck, good luck.
