Good Quality Cheap Longboard?

Are these good quality Ceramic Bearings for a longboard?

  • I'm not talking state-of-the-line bearings because I can't afford $200 but from what it says they are full Ceramic bearings. What I want to know is are these bearings good ...show more

  • Answer:

That $40 bearing is just one bearing, not a set. But... Don't bother. Just grab a bunch of sets of cheap bearings. Go to your local hardware/automotive store and grab some white lithium grease (in the TUBE, NOT the spray) and some acetone or 100% alcohol (rubbing alcohol works too). Clean out the lube that comes with your bearings (just put them with the alcohol in a bottle, after you take the rubber shields/seals of the bearings, and shake it around for a few minutes), let them dry (completely dry, use a blowdryer if you have one), then throw the grease in there. I use a popsicle stick to cake it in. That'll make your bearings last a long time. You'll want to clean and re-grease your bearings every couple of months.
