What would be the best paintball marker for Speedball?

Is the tippmann a5 paintball rifle/marker good for speedball?

  • because my dad might take me speedballing (or however you say it) and i dont have a marker yet. The tippmann markers are good, and i like this one the best.

    no it is probably one of the least idealistic markers for speedball made. if you are going to be playing both, then get a speedball marker (what kind varies on your price range, but stay away from ions and pmrs as you have to upgrade them to perform as well as you'd like them to) because they greatly outperform woodsball markers in all aspects (except looks, but that's not the least bit important) and they can be used to play both. but woodsball markers can really only be kind of used effectively while playing woodsball. you are just better off buying a speedball marker. or if you are still unsure, just use a rental the first time you go, to be sure if you even want to play. as its quite money and time consuming. if you really want to get into paintball watch this video, i wish i would have found it before i started. it would've helped out alot

It's not ideal for speedball but you can use it. Tippmann's factory team used upgraded A-5's back in their tourney days.

No it is not ideal for speedball but it will work if you play once in awhile couple of my players will use their X7 & A5's just for fun. so if you are mostly going to play woodsball or Rec ball & play speedball once in awhile I would get the A5 If you plan on playing speedball mostly I would look at an Ion, Vibe or a Proto
