"loan officers" no longer do lending decisions unless you're talking about a small credit union. The underwriters of the loan have certain qualifications they need to look at so the bank does not take a loss for the money. Right now, without assets you can go the personal unsecured loan route. They don't even question what the moneys are for, but you need to be credit worthy. Credit worthy on an unsecured loan is currently about a 680 with no delinquencies.
