Good shore points in NJ?

How can u find structrue and points in the water from the shore and from a boat ( pad-boat) i live in NJ?

  • Answer:

1st you need to understand what structure is and how it relates to fish and fishing. Structure is where the fish hide, for both bait fish and predatory fish. Example: A.) Weedlines, both inside and outside edges of them. B.) Stumps, as they create shadows along with having nooks and crannies for prey. C.) Riprap along the edges of the body of water you're contemplating fishing. D.) Dropoffs, holes, washouts etc. E.) Boulder and rock strewn streams. I think you get the idea, and a point is where the land tapers gradually out, sloping down as it stretches further into the water, till you get to the dropoff. Any place bait fish/ bait can hide from predators is where you'll find keeper sized predator fish.
