Walleye and yellow perch. We used to fish about ten miles from Luna Pier. You need a large reliable boat to go out that far. Lake Erie is relatively shallow and known for the waves coming up very quickly. Make sure you have a radio and pay close attention to the weather. I've seen the waves go from 4 feet to 10 feet in one hour. Respect the lake. We came close to death in a 30 foot boat by not adhering to this advice. Walleye can be caught from the bank of the Maumee river during spawning but there are strict rules and many DNR watching so make sure to know and follow the rules.
