How long after cervical mucus goes stretchy and clear do you ovulate?

When i experience stretchy cervical mucus i usualy dont ovulate until about 3 days AFTER so i wouldnt worry about it, id have sex for another couple days, after your positive you ovulated, or just have sex every other day until about a week before your period is due, then ull know for sure have sperm in there all the time :)

It really depends. Some women have more cervical mucus for more days than others before ovulation. The textbooks say that the last day you see the fertile egg white looking cervcial mucus is your most fertile day as you will normally ovulate 12-24 hours after you last see it. This is not the case for every woman though. The real fertile cervical mucus (clear, stretchy, etc) most resembles the man's semen for a reason. It is there to help create a good environment for the sperm and to help transfer it inside the cervix. Remember though that not all women get the fertile cervical mucus and they can still conceive. It is just better if you do get it. Also you may not ovulate the same day each cycle. Yes probably having sex yesterday with the fertile cervical mucus would have helped but you still have a chance. Continue to have sex every other day until you are sure you ovulated. Best wishes!

i think when it#s clear and stretchy you ovulate. you need t predict better because you can have sex before ovulation ready for the egg. keep having sex as much as your partner can handle now for a couple of days. worked first month for me! and lay with your legs in the air for half hour after too!
