What do we do with pogs? Are they worth anything?

What, if anything, makes the premium charged for lululemon's yoga mats worth it?

  • Their mats cost 2-4 times more than other mats. What, if anything, makes them worth the premium?

  • Answer:

Much like anything else, you're paying for materials, construction and brand name. Though to be fair, Lululemon mats are around $70, which is still not the most expensive (which can be up to $100). I would break it down like so: $15-$20 mats from target/walmart/sporting goods stores are not durable at all. My first and only one of these lasted a few months of practice before coming apart. They also tend to be very poor at absorbing sweat, causing you to slip as soon as they're moist. Lastly, they stretch out in poses such as downdog, warrior 1, warrior 2, etc. $30-$40 mats tend to address all the issues outlined above to a degree. $60+ mats tend to SOLVE all the issues above. The best mats I've used are the manduka pro and Lululemon "the mat." They are both very thick and provide ample padding when practicing on hard surfaced. Both absorb sweat quite well, so I'm not slipping in downdog in a warmer yoga class. My Lululemon has lasted me 3 years and counting.
