Is Yahoo classic homepage gone forever?

Why wont yahoo homepage load. says 410 gone?

  • My yahoo homepage no longer loads when i dbl-click firefox. Screen shows "sorry, gone" & upper right corner says "410 gone".

    This "gone" message tends to show up when Yahoo is working on the site. As soon as the work is done, the message disappears and you can get to your homepage. Usually you are entering the same URL as you've done since you started using it as the homepage. Switch to a different homepage for a few days. When the work is done, things will get back to normal. If you want to see if you are the only one experiencing a problem, go to yahoo.uservoice.com ( Yahoo has asked everyone to report problems there).

Hey there, It sounds like you're using an incorrect URL for the Yahoo homepage. The 410 error usually means the Web server (Yahoo) has no forwarding address for the site you're trying to load, so can provide no redirection to the new Web server.
