So I'm visiting Italy and I want to know of good restaurants/places to visit that aren't tourist traps?

I agree, I do the same when I visit a new town, look for some place "not for tourist". I remember a restaurant in Florence, named Il Latini (Via dei Palchetti 6r) ask to someone for the street. I suggest you to order the "Ribollita" and the "Pappa al Pomodoro" they are delicious and not just pasta. They'll bring to you at the end of the lunch, including in the price some typical Tuscany cookies, with a glass of wine, you have to eat them, put into the wine. WOW I forgot. Hi, I live in Italy but not in Florence. My best bet is not to rely too much on tourist guides. Ask the locals or the hotel staff you are staying at to help you out. They know from experience which restaurants are appreciated and liked. I work in a hotel and you wouldn't immagine how many times I send clients to certain restaurants that are not on the tourist guides, and when they come back they are always satisfied. Ask which restaurants serve traditional local cuisine and are not jam packed with foreign tourists.
