Who is hosting the graduation party? Ask them for a general idea of the formality. I am guessing you would want to dress smart/casual. You might just want to keep a tie with you and that could be all it takes to transform your look from grad party to wedding.

Jacket optional for the graduation, tie optional for the wedding, but recommended, because you may meet a girl at the wedding reception. Did you ever think of that? Go to even JC Penney or Jos A Banks or Target and get something classy, even if it's a bit more preppy than you usually dress. If you can pull off this look, older girls might flirt with you. I'm being quite serious. You'll do great and gain admiration and have no reason to feel insecure or like you look like a dork.
