There used to be a website called iseek.org that tells a person how much a certain profession can pay, what kind of schooling, etc., and can break it down by the area they live. I don't know if it still exists.... On accident I went to use the copier at a dental office I worked in, and the general dentist there had left his income tax form in it and I saw it. This guy in the midwestern US around 1997 was pulling in over $250K. Specialists (oral surgeons, orthodontists) can make even more.

My wife is a dental assistant working towards her Hygiene Degree. She works 3 days a week and gets paid a salary of $30k/yr with 6 years of experience. A dentist can make very very good money. A starting dentist probably will make around $150k/yr if they can get into a good practice.

I'm not sure. The yearly income always seems to change. OK.
