Do oceans have boundaries?

• For example, does the Atlantic Ocean have a marked boundary, like from here to here, and round there to over there? Or is it just a fuzzy concept, like it's around here.

  I am sure that to geographers and oceanographers and other scientists there are distinctive boundaries to the four great oceans of the world. Atlantic, pacific, indian and the great southern ocean. To most of us however the boundaries are some what of a fuzzy concept. The great southern ocean touches the south atlantic, south pacific and southern indian oceans, but it is most difficult to say where one starts and another stops.
