Hi, Sure, the French should celebrate Bastille day ! Bastille day represents the storming of the Bastille by French revolutionaries during the Revolution of 1789. This event was more a symbol than a major political event. It symbolized the end of the absolute power of Louis XVI, the king of France. Since then, the celebration of Bastille day is a praise to freedom and democracy and it's France national holiday. Check this website if you want to have more details on what happened that day.
