Where to go on holiday in France?

  If you are going to Brittany then some of the places that we visited can be seen at http://www.bestfrenchcampsites.com/campsites/stcast/stcastindex.html The forest park with the childrens mountain course is particularly good. ALso if you travel as far as the Vendee there is Puy du Foy theme park to visit. Poitiers is a bit further afield. There is also a childrens mountain park called INdian village at Moutiers Les Mauxfaits. It has high ropes and assault courses and other things too but children sized ones too I think. The velo rail at Commequiers is worth a visit -you cycle your own 4 or 5 seater bike along an old railway line. Great fun, but you need to book this so watch out. The Plage Parc at Bretignolles is great and so is the Lake at Apremont. There is a zoo at Sable d'Olonnes and an aquarium on the Ile de Noirmoutier. There's a great fun park for the younger ones at Brem sur Mer where you pay an admission fee and all the rides are included (they have trampolines, crazy golf, go-karts, water slides and bouncy castles as well as more traditional 'park rides'). St Gilles Croix de Ville is also worth a visit. So there is lots to do in the Vendee. There are many good areas of France though. I find its useful to have a look on google maps to see what an area looks like as I dont like areas which are too built up. I hope you find a good holiday.
