    From what I've heard they are pretty low maintenence pets. One of my best friends owns one now that a family friend's daughter gave it up..she said it took the hedgehog a while to become friendly with them but now it's very easy to care for and handle, also they do not eat nearly as much as most other pets. But again I'm not a hedgehog expert. I would Google some good caresheets and info. Btw the name is a little offensive you know..

Hedgehogs are about $50 to $300, depending on where you get one. They are good pets, but you must be willing to deal with a somewhat cranky pet. They live from 2-4 years and will need a 2ft wide, 2ft tall, and 3ft long cage. The cage can be an aquarium or a wire cage, also they can live in storage tubs. They make little noise, the wheel is the main noise and if yours is not tame it might grunt when you pick it up.
