Sony 1080p or samsung 1080p tv?

Was originally going to buy a samsung 6030 for my bedroom but my buddy offered me a sony 46 inch w4100 for $250. Is sony a good brand or is samsung better? And is a 40 inch screen ...show more

If you have ever had to deal with Sony customer service you would never buy again. If you like rude incompetence and ending with a psychological ribbing that makes you feel like it's all your fault then go for it. However, Samsung is fantastic.

I don't know what you're looking for in a tv so it's hard to answer what we think you'd like better. For myself I LOVE sound so I like going with super old Sony TV's that have built in surround sound that are incomparable to TV's that they make today. I think before posting, tell us what you are wanting whether that be visuals, convenience, easy to use, or great sound quality. Also, what components you may want such as an hdmi port or an sd card port.
