How do you scan with the Epson stylus nx400?

  first try it directly from the printer with the copy option. this wont save a copy to your computer but it will at least prove that the scanner physically works. next run the scanning program. I'm not sure which one comes with this model. Is it epson scan? Or you can go to programs-accessories and look for the camera and scanner wizard. If it doesnt find a scanner, then you need to install the scanning software. You can also go to control panel and check that your scanner is installed and has no yellow exclamation points. Aside from that, you can also try http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp for compatible ink cartridges at $5 or less. They work great with my Epson CX8400 and your printer uses the same ones.
