Why is my computer screen turning black?

everytime im on the computer or something ...my computer screen turns black and it does that every 10 seconds or so and i keep having to waste my time turning off the screen and ...show more

Check the cords in the back of the monitor, and also where it connects to the computer and outlet. Also try a different monitor to see if it does the same or not. If the cords seem to be fine and the other monitor doesn't do the same, then you'll just have to buy a new monitor (or if possible follow through with warranty). Theres not much you can do for a broken monitor. If the other monitor you try does the same, than look into your video card possibly malfunctioning.
