How to modify PATH variable for X11 during log-in?

What's a better way for our lead generation clients to be able to log in and modify details on their account while on the go: Mobile app, or mobile ready website?

  • We generate leads for home improvement contractors.  They often request the ability to log in to their accounts to put their accounts on hold or reactivate their accounts, or modify their coverage areas.  We also want a way for them to upload images of projects they're working on. All these capabilities are already available for them to adjust from our non-mobile site (which can be navigated with difficulty from a mobile device)

  • Answer:

You can achieve what you want either way. (mobile app or mobile website). A mobile website is easier to develop and caters to a larger audience - same mobile website for iphone, android devices, windows phones, blackberry, etc... The downside is performance. A mobile website will be slower, not as responsive as an app. Which might be ok if your clients update their information once per month or relatively rarely. However, if they need to update their info daily, they may get frustrated with the lack of performance and wish for a faster, better solution. In this case, developing a native app will lead to a higher quality experience, but at a cost - you need to develop independently for each different platform, usually developing a native app for only one platform costs more than a mobile website, let alone developing for 3 or 4.
