How do you "print screen" on a mac?

How do you make a "print screen" on a Mac computer?

  • It's called print screen on regular PCs, but I recently got a Mac and don't know how to do it on here!

  • Answer:

Press Shift+CMd+3 to get a full screen snapshot. If you press Shift+Cmd+4, you will get a crosshair with which you can select an area of a screen. Pressing the spacebar while on this screen will change the icon to a camera and highlight an area of your screen. Use this to get a pic of a window, the menu bar, the dock, etc.
