  you will require a Pandora's Battery and Jigkick memory stick but you will need an extra battery, and a memory stick bigger than 64Mb (recommended) just download this file http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SQWZ3BJD (I uploaded it myself) and follow the instructions very carefully. and you should end up with a pandora's battery and Jigkick memory stick So when you have the battery and memory stick converted, insert the memory stick first and then put in the battery, this should automatically boot your psp, coming to a screen. Press X to downgrade the psp to the 1.50 firmware wait until it the prompts finish and a blue screen comes up; press O to continue onto 1.50 firmware From the 1.50 firmware, you can upgrade to the custom firmware. i advise that you use either, 3.40 oea, 3.52m33-4 or 3.71m33-4 or if you really want to, 3.80m33-5 if you want to know anything else, feel free to contact me. until then, happy hacking! enjoy the psp to it's fullest potential.
