Are all infant car seat BASE the same?

Do you need to use the base in an infant car seat? There are seatbelt slots on the car seat.?

• The base is in my husbands car. He told me I could just buckle the seat right in my car. I just want to be sure my baby is safe!

  You dont necessarily need it. I use mine without the base occasionally. I would reccommend one though. Mostly for peace of mind, but they are SO much easier than buckling the seat in every time. All you do is set it on the base and it clicks in, and taking it out is easy too. I do feel much safer having one, but it isnt absolutely essential. My best advice is to get one! You won't regret it. They are not that expensive either. Also, it might depend on the seat you have. My carseat has a diagram of how to attach it in the car without the base. If yours doesnt have that then maybe it needs a base.
