How to make thermal power plant for school project?
-
i've been given a school project to make working model of thermal power plant.. what do i need ?apparatus?and how to make it?
-
Answer:
A thermal power plant - like in Iceland - involves taking steam generated by volcanic heat under the ground. So to make a working model you would need a heat source (unless you used compressed air) to boil water, tubing that would take the heat, and some sort of engine to move from the steam or air pressure. If "working" meant it would produce a small amount of electricity you could attach a small DC motor to be spun. If you just have to do something that moves, then it would a small bladed wheel that spun without doing work. How serious is the project?
