How much money do the satellite installers for direct tv make?

Are there any cable/satellite tv companies that let you choose which specific channels you want?

  Every TV customer wants that, and none of us are going to get it. If you were to only subscribe to the few channels you like to watch, the provider would have no reason to bundle up hundreds of channels, receiving franchise and advertising revenue from all of them. That would cost them big money, making it impossible to provide you with any channels at all, let alone the few you like. So it's a dilemma that we're all going to have to live with unless the government dictates otherwise, which isn't likely in the U.S. at least.
