How long do LCD HD TVs last?

I have two LCD HD-TVs that I am interested please help me make a decision.?

    do your research and then take a long hard look at them both side by side with the same media playing. This is what i do. Make Sure you can return the Tv if you arent happy with it. Also often Tvs are marked up because of a popular brand name while the Exact same Tv with a different brand name in hundreds cheaper. Do the research.

id get the sharp becuase there going to do pretty much the same things and have similar quality picture quality so why not save $100.

The Sony probably has some of the mark-up because of the brand, but you'd have to give a more details spec of each to assess the differences, as there are likely to be a few.
