How to integrate Salesforce with php?

What's the best way to integrate a php app with existing content (considering seo and conversion rates?)

• I already have a content channel (basically a blog) that gets about 50K visits a month.  I'm building technology (php) behind it now, and will need to integrate it without loosing traffic. If I put it on the home page (ie: make the home page a landing page, and move the content to a subfolder), it would get a higher conversion rate, but then my existing rankings drop significantly because it's not as content rich.  80% of my traffic comes from search engines. Then if I put it on a subdomain or subfolder, how can I tie it in with the rest of the content to ensure it's conversion rates are high enough?
