Why do I find Black people to be really scary and intimidating? Sorry I am not trying to be rude?

because you are racist..... are you seriously scared of people speaking loudly? Would you be scared of a White person who spoke loudly and stared at you? I doubt every Black person you encounter speaks loudly stares at you....probably not even 10% ( I've traveled enough in the big city and rode public transportation enough to know thats not true at all) Maybe you've watched too many gang movies......how about letting go of your prejudices and try starting a conversation with a Black person.

Maybe its just because you aren't used to being around african-american people and you just have a few misconceptions or stereotypes about them. Maybe you should try talking to one of them and get to know them a little bit. You really have nothing to worry about, there is good and bad in every race.

It doesnt matter what ethnicity they are, if you find someone intimidating then walk away. You are not obligated to interact with them. I have seen intimidating people from all ethnicities, not just black, heck I have even see intimidating white people too. It would be interesting to know if you find educated black people intimidating as well?

Don't get into trouble with black people. Don't talk to them unless you have to. Keep your guard up at all times. There are so many Asians that get beat up by Africans it is not even funny. If you are a girl, it is better, but if you're a guy you'd better watch out! If you want to you can try to make friends with some but honestly if I were you just focus on your studies and keep your head down.

You shouldn't make generalizations about an entire race based on a few people. All black people don't speak loudly and you shouldn't fear all of us.I'm black and I'm one of the quietest people you could ever meet and I'm polite to everyone. Also, did you ever think that they may be staring at you because you are staring at them; with a look on your face that says I hate you people.

Don't worry, here in America we find Chinese people to be very scary, and Japanese people actually resemble Chinese people more than just a lot. ^_^

Why don't you get to know one, they are human beings like we all are.So there loud you can get over that.I have many Black friends that I think the world of.They have a heart and soul as we do. Introduce yourself to a Black person in your class and talk with them, you will find that they are really nice.

This is why I get uncomfortable around Asians because I assume they are racist or that they just dislike me because I'm black. I've always had bad experiences with Asian people, sorry. Maybe we can help eachother.
