You can track the campaign effectiveness all the way from the source down to the download/purchase through UTM codes or event tracking in Google Analytics. You will also need to define goal and funnels to measure the effectiveness of your campaign. You could easily know how your campaign is performing though creating custom advanced segment and choosing appropriate dimensions and metrics i.e. KPIs and applying it in your goal overview. And remember it might take more than 1 visit for the user to complete your goal i.e. app download so you should also keep an eye on multi channel funnel to have a better idea of your campaign performance.
