What is the fastest way to commute From UC Davis to San Francisco and vice-visa without a car?

    The Capitol Corridor rail line stops right in the center of Davis (town). Take it westbound to Emeryville, where you can get a timed transfer with Amtrak's 99 thruway bus. Or you could get off earlier at Richmond and take BART toward Millbrae, then get off at one of the stations in SF. For the return trip catch either a Richmond-bound BART train or the 99 Thruway bus to Richmond or Emeryville, respectively, and board an eastbound CC train toward Davis.
