I live in Huntington Beach,CA, which is in between Newport Beach and Long Beach in Orange County, and about 40 minutes south of L.A. It is the best place ever!!! The beaches are awesome, and it is fairly close to all of the above mentioned places from Mad Dog that you can visit (about 15 minutes from Disneyland, 25 from Knotts Berry Farm, 20 minutes from the Queen Mary, etc.) Plus we have a lot of great new hotels, and they just expanded onto our downtown district (shops, dining, entertainment, and so on).
