Upscaled places to live close or in fairfield, CA ?

Just so you know Chino Hills and Vacaville are no where near each other. And Chino hills is over 450 miles south of Fairfield. It is a suburb of LA not SF/Sac. Fairfield is pretty much a vast wasteland of Travis Air Force base combined with a major highway 80 commuter town. It is very blah town. Vacaville is a little bit nicer as it is not quite as big. Better downtown and shopping. How far are you willing to commute? You could go to Sonoma, very nice quaint town smack dab in the middle of wine country. Anywhere in Napa County EXCEPT American Canyon. Yountville & St. Helena are nice. Rural but very expensive. You could also head over to the east bay areas like Clayton & Walnut Creek but be prepared for over 1 hour commute. Or maybe Marin county possibly. Again, very nice, but long commute and very expensive. It just largely depends on how far you are willing to travel. And how much you want to spend.
