Answer:
Firstly, I wouldn't recommend buying "cheap" park tickets because they are usually scams. To be sure you get a legit park ticket, buy it on the Disney website. Are you staying on an on-site Disney Resort? I would definitely recommend staying on-site, they have many perks which you can check them out at the Disney website (disneyworld.disney.go.com). If you are on a budget, I would recommend staying at a value resort. I've stayed twice at Disney's All-Star Movie Resort which is a value resort and we loved it. There's also a new resort called Disney's Art of Animation which I'm dying to go to and you can also check it out. As for the parks, they are all amazing but Magic Kingdom is a MUST. When I went there I loved Animal Kingdom but that all depends on what your children like. Hollywood Studios is good too! I wouldn't spend money on Epcot unless you want to go to all four parks. Epcot has many good things as well but is more for adults than children. You can check all this information out on the Disney website, you can put the date you want to go there, add tickets, add a resort, etc. and it will give you how much your vacation would cost you. Have fun in your vacation!

No source for "cheap" Disney tickets. They don't need to discount to keep the parks full. AAA may have a small discount for members. The two-year-old is too young to enjoy Disney, so it won't matter for him/her. The six-year-old will probably enjoy the Magic Kingdom and maybe some of the things at the movie park, depending on whether or not he/she is interested in the characters there. My youngest loved EPCOT, even when he was that age, but not all young kids do. If he/she likes zoos, then Animal Kingdom would probably be a hit. There's at least one book called "WDW with Kids" or something like that. There's probably a copy at your library. There's also an "Unofficial" guidebook [by Birnbaum?], again, probably at your library. There are also on-line resources for info, including bulletin boards. Be sure and do lots of advance planning, especially if you're going in the summer, when it will be hot, humid and crowded. And allow time for an afternoon nap back at the hotel. A good reason to stay on-site!

There are no cheap tickets to Disney. Disney does not authorize significant discounts, so any "too good to be true" offers that you see really are. They are either scams, or they involve sitting through hours-long timeshare presentations in order to get your tickets. If you are a member of AAA, then you can get a slight discount. If you are in the military, then you can get a discount. As for the resort, stay in a Disney resort. That makes it far more convenient. All of the resorts are great, it's just a matter of what you are willing to spend. They are divided into categories, based on cost and amenities. The Value resorts are the least expensive, just have a food court for dining, and don't have fancy pools and things (but they have nice, big pools); I'd recommend either Pop Century or Art of Animation at this level. The Moderate resorts are a step up - table-service restaurants, slides at the pools, etc; I'd recommend Caribbean Beach or Port Orleans French Quarter here. The Deluxe resorts are the most expensive, but also the nicest - big rooms, lots of dining options, awesome pool areas; I'd recommend Polynesian or Beach Club at this level. As for theme parks, I'd visit all 4 of the main parks if you can (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios). If you can swing it, spend 2 days at Magic Kingdom. They are all worth visiting, but most people (and especially kids) like Magic Kingdom the best. It has the most attractions and rides, and you can easily take up 2 full days there.

Magic Kingdom is the best one for kids at that age. I would pick Epcot next...especially if they like interactive and hands on type of stuff. Animal Kingdom is nice, but small. The Bugs Life is a popular attraction there, meant for kids, yet they cry all the time in there. Hollywood Studios would be my last pick...they are just too small for a lot of the main attractions. If I had to pick a resort, it would be Animal Kingdom's. But honestly, so over priced and you and your kids will be so exhausted at the end of the day that you won't have time to enjoy it. If you have some free days, go swim at one of the resorts, go walk around the Boardwalk, walk around Downtown Disney or take them to Old Town...all free, depending on what you do there, but your kids would appreciate that better than where they are sleeping at night. Lots of cheap and good hotels close by....most have free transportation to the parks and a lot of them have free breakfast. If you are staying for a week or more, it's actually cheaper and nicer just to rent out a vacation home. With the current economy, you could probably wheel and deal an even better price, have lots of privacy, a pool, etc. Lots of good ones in Championsgate, which is very close to the parks!
