A good set of 2 ways will sound as good as any 3 way its is most likely overkill for a vehicle. Of course Small speakers reproduce higher frequency sounds mid size mid range sounds and this woofer & subwoofers low frequency sounds. having two smaller speaking producing the higher frequencies is more often hype then a real sound improvement.
