    It's not a matter of how many watts the cable can handle. Power cable size requirements are a function of current (amp draw) and length. You amplifiers are not 100% efficient, and your 440 watts may not be the same as my 440 watts. The easiest way to answer this question is to look at the fuses on your amplifiers. Add these up, and this will be the maximum you could potentially draw through the cable. If you're drawing 100 amps through 20 foot of cable, you may need to upgrade for maximum performance. More than likely, your typical draw from this system will be closer to 25 amps. Shouldn't be a problem, but could limit upper performance, depending on how much current he amplifiers try to draw.

For the sub 8 gauge will work fine. 8 gauge power wires are usually for system up to 300 rms.

i would run two 8 gauges seeing as one is already there and while your RMS draw is low enough for 8 gauge i would be a little afraid on any bass hit. the sub amp will draw more when it hits and not providing enough juice to the sub amp will kill both amps. (as voltage drops current increases. an increase in current is not good for internals on amps.) its a bit more complicated than that but that's the general idea. so a second 8 gauge will do it i think the kits like $40 at best buy. Its rockford too so its good stuff.
