Home theater sub is not working?

I have a 4 ohm home theater sub. I REPEAT this is a 4 ohm home theater sub I want to use in my cars stereo.?

    ul still need more than the deck to power it. u need an amp even a weak one will boost the sound. for somethin like that u could buy a lil dual amp from walmart for like 50$, i had one for speakers that put out 50watts a channel and around 120watts bridged. which would be good enough for somthing like that.

You can use that sub in your car. I'm assuming it's in it's own enclosure already. The only thing I would caution you on is: you home theater sub is designed to be used inside, where the environment is more controlled. It is possible that the sub could get damaged from the elements of the car. Vibration, dust, extreme temperature changes. Factors like this is why car subs are designed the way they are. BUT, if your sub is a 4 ohm sub, then YES. You can use it in the car on a 4 ohm amplifier.
