Your pay would be whatever your hourly rate is plus tips. Tips are "extra", not required and should not be figured into your income. When I put down a meals at Applebees, I do not tip per say, that is unless the level of customer service goes extremely well beyond what a "reasonable person" would consider "normal expectations" of the delivery of "superb customer service". I do not believe in rewarding simple service level employees for performing their job even if they "do it well". Rather it's "expected" that wait staff or provider will perform well. If per chance they fail to meet these expectations in providing the meal or I feel the level of customer service is only "marginally acceptable", I jot down their name and a note describing their failure(s) and I log a formal complaint with their manager. On rare occasions, I will give a "kudos" if their performance in providing the meal was more than "satisfactory"
