Im going to california for a week, what do i pack?

Where in California? California is a "long" state--the northern part can get cold but some parts of it are warm in summer. The southern half is usually nicely warm in summer. The woodsier places are going to have bugs, in the cities you probably won't be bothered by mosquitoes and stuff unless there are still ponds, pools, containers of standing water sitting around. I'd say, pack for layering. Depending on what you intend to do (if you know you're going to get dirty or wet (river rafting or something), pack extra clothing), pack 3 tank tops, couple pairs of shorts, couple pairs of long pants and long sleeved tops you can pull on over your tank top. A sweater/jacket/hoodie if it gets cold in the evenings. If you intend to going out to something fancy, you may need something slightly dressier but keep it real simple (a black skirt that doesn't wrinkle which you can wear different tops with). If the clothing you bring along get dirty, we do have laundromats that you can wash them in so less is best.
